Wonky eyes ...a little bit of a Hitler thing going on under her nose....and some little fat cheeks.....but for a first try ...it's not so bad...in fact I was pleased that I managed to get it to look even close to a face.
I have a hard time drawing a stick figure...!!
It was fun and I plan on more practice....it is supposed to make perfect right?
We shall see....-onward-

What a nice day.....Just look at that temp on the bank clock this afternoon around 4 !!
It was just so great to have a little warm weather to go out and about in...You can see in the second photo that we do have a little snow left in the woods but ........
It made my day....plus the fact that I got an awesome massage last night from G that made me
sleep like a baby and my shoulders don't hurt today....I have such terrible shoulder and neck pain most days
that I have a hard time finding a comfortable spot to sleep...Last night I was out like a light and never woke once during the night trying to get comfortable and grumbling about how much it hurts!!!

We had 50 degree weather just the other day...and today we are back to snow...I wish it would just pick one or the other and stick to it...it get's my hopes up for Spring...then blah..all hopes are dashed..

we had to run to town today and it was not fun...the roads got worse as we were on the way home..
I am glad to be off the roads and in for the night...

I just got this book from Amazon..I had been waiting for it to come out in ebook form and today I found it was being offered in that format. I have no room in my tinyhouse to keep anymore books and magazines..so from now on they have to be able to be read on my tablet. I am excited to read through it and try the techniques ....the only problem I find with the ebook format is that the pictures are not full size...come on Amazon...get with it...Make them so they fit a 10 inch tablet...I doubt many will be trying to read it on a small smart phone where the pictures need to be small!! ...

(ooops....I take that back....The pictures can be zoomed in on....yah!)

This is my year to learn new things.
.It's been a blizzard out there all night so I played all warm and snug inside....

. I have been taking a couple of online classes
and hope to take a few more..plus watching any and all tutorial videos I can find...
It's been interesting and fun...my fingers are stained and sticky...and
...I have splattered paint all over my table and the little tv that sits there...
what's a bit of paint here and there...it made me incredibly happy!!

This winter has been odd...it's been cold and snowy..then warm and rain...then back to snow...Usually when the snow starts... it doesn't stop but not this year... The ground is mucky and muddy...blah!
I am wishing for spring.... I want to feel the warm sun... I want to sit outside and enjoy the quiet of our backyard... I'm tired of boots and mud and dirty puppy feet.
Enough complaining. It's time to start the day...
A cup of coffee and a warm sweater will make everything better.. Have a good day .

We are having a little spring thaw.....or some such thing....its now 45 degrees outside...YAY!
However .............................what do you think can happen when you have 3 feet of snow on the ground......and it warms....?

Even better yet......guess what happens when you have a FLAT roof ( anyone living in PA for any amount of time knows NOT to put a flat roof on anything...what were they thinking!!) .....
Our house has a flat roof on the back bedroom.....and ...Yessssssss....drip drip drip drip.....
Ice has built up...even tho we clear the snow away from it......and now....warmer weather...

Sigh.......I am on bucket duty today....

It was much work....so many details...

But all I have out there.....IS ..... a snow bank...about 4 feet high..

I will try to take a picture of it hanging soon as I can figure out where to hang it..

It's 2 degrees out there this morning..and I am avoiding having to go out in it..but it's not going to warm up anytime soon....So...layers and layers of warm clothes ..hat ..mittens.....boots....and off I go.....To someplace just a bit warmer.....for a rest....I'll be back on Monday or so...Happy New Year All....Stay safe......

I worked all day to finish up this sweet Angel Bunny...before I leave for a much needed vacation.

Little Angel Bunny will be listed on my blog for a few days..

She is created from painted and stained osnaburg fabric.. Stitched on eyelids...big baby blue's...a bunny nose with heavy thread whiskers...I highlighted her face to give her personality....all sealed to prevent any fading.

Her little dress is made from winter white soft flannel. I then hand painted pink and grey polka dots and added lots of vintage rose tinsel and pink ribbons.

She wears grey wool felt pants ...also with pink ribbons stitched onto the hem.

Her Angel wings are attached with a white german glass glitter'd pin...They can easily be removed if you like.

This little Angel of Love is already for Valantines Day ....in her hand she holds a vintage rose German Glass Glittered Heart! It will tarnish a bit over time adding to its vintage appeal.

She is about 18 inches from the tips of her ears to the tips of her little shoes...Which I forgot to mention are also glitter'd in vintage rose glass glitter..She does sparkle a bit!!

Here it is..the middle of December....where did the time go? Every year I tell myself I will get things done early...I won't wait till the last minute..and yet....again.....I am running in circles ....anxiety kicking in....

I have two presents bought....just two...1 20lb turkey ordered...and that's it...the tree is not even up (ugh) Lordy....

I guess it's time for a break from art ....so with that thought in my head....I will wish you all a Merry Christmas....Happy Holidays....Bah Humbug....or however you enjoy the season......I will be back in the new year....with a fresh outlook.....

One of my SpookyTime Jingles creations...which will update on the 13th of Dec. I just wanted to put a little sneak peek up.

This little Snow guy is just too cute...Made from painted and stained osnaburg...he has little black glass eyes...a floss stitched grin....blushed cheeks and a chenille stem snowman nose...

His little cone hat and scarf are made from quilt shoppe fabrics..a dark blue and creme stripe...
I added silver german glass glitter'd stars to his hat and chest...as well as tiny rusted bells down the front of him....He holds in one of his stick arms....a silver tinsel garland that has been dusted with german glass glitter...Sparkly!
He is about 13 inches tall give or take a bit....

I also have restocked my German Glass Glitter.......and Added one new color...Vintage Blue....Perfect for your winter and spring creating!!

My little Lucy Puppy is feeling way under the weather tonight...Poor thing is just barely walking....she won't drink...she shakes....and is throwing up...what could be wrong with her?
She was fine till around 3 this afternoon...I have no idea what to do for her except watch her and I keep talking to her.. she looks so darn sad....I can barely get her to go outside and off the steps...I hope its not serious...but she has me really worried!!!

On another note..I have new glitter coming in the mail....and a few other goodies coming soon...
I just need more time...and less to do..! But we just plug along ..don't we..

The last few days...it was beautiful here...we had a bit of indian summer...Today its back to winter....cold..dreary..and spitting snow out there...
I caught a "end of the summer" cold and feel like a truck hit me. shivering..then hot....its hard to sleep like that and just no fun what.so.ever..I will be glad to have it go away.....till then...i suffer thru it...=[
